Hey!! Pretty great week….Sister Duke and I have been organizing a lot and I’ve learned so many new skills from her which is so nice because that’s for sure something I need to get better at and more confident in. She is awesome and so fun!
Such an awesome thing happened this last week. So, we had dinner with our investigator Anita and her husband again…they are so awesome. Anita’s son came by and while she was talking to him, Angelo told us that he was kind of listening a little bit to a video that Anita got form one of the members in our branch called “How Rare a Possession” which talks about the history of how the Book of Mormon came to be and the experiences and testimonies that people had by reading it. He asked us questions about Moroni, the gold plates, and Joseph Smith…he said he found it all very interesting and said that he’d have to watch the whole video sometime. When we talked to Anita about it on Sunday, she said that he isn’t usually open to hear more about the church, but he seems to be more interested now! It was super neat! A few weeks ago, Angelo asked what my favorite dessert was and lo and behold, they bought it just for us to have that night! Crumbs Along the Mohawk…so good. Anyways, they are such a sweet couple and you can feel the deep love and respect they have for each other.
We had a mission conference on Friday and it was amazing. Elder Bennett from the seventy came and spoke to us. It was incredible and the spirit was so strong. He gave some great counsel and specific instructions on how to become better in the work and promised miracles and great blessings will come our way as we diligently strive to be more consecrated. It was so amazing.
We saw our investigator Betty! While she was talking about her family and all the new changes happening in her life, I felt inspired to show her a video on mormon channel called “What Matters Most”. She loved it and was really touched by it and the focus it had one the family and loving others. She asked us to write down the website so she could watch more videos..it was pretty neat!
I love going to church…we had an amazing testimony meeting and the spirit was so strong. Hearing others bear their testimony of Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ strengthens mine and gives me reassurance of how real their love is for each of us and how this gospel is truly lead by their chosen prophet and apostles. I’ve been ‘ponderizing’ this scripture the past week in Ether 12:4. It reads:
Wherefore, whoso believeth in God might with surety hope for a better world, yea, even a place at the right hand of God, which hope cometh of faith , maketh an anchor to the souls of men, which would make them sure and steadfast, always abounding in good works, being led to glorify God.
I love this scripture…it truly does fill my soul and heart with hope and love…I’m sp thankful for the plan that He has for each of us and that through the Atonement of Christ, we can return to Them in confidence. They are real and they love us!
I hope you all have an amazing week! Much love!
Love, Sister Pange
I don’t have any cool pics…so we took some quick selfies!
